“The Big Nose”
Business Tower

Zagreb, Croatia
Glass Structures
The project of the business building,  first of all, raises the issue of the ability of such a program to generate public space. Development of business buildings in Zagreb, over the past few years, has been reduced to the typology of towers; a bit higher, autarchic, enclosed structures, where the most exciting momentum is looking for the entrance in the glass facade.
Redefining the Model
The project of the business building in Zagrebacka avenue is an attempt to rede ne the existing model of business buildings that have two characteristics: they want to be glass towers and they are indifferent to their surroundings. This project is based on the exact opposite assumptions.
Generating Public Space
This building is not a tower, it’s simply a building of enlarged volume that normally uses the area available for the program. A part of the full volume is taken out in order to create a new, covered public space orientated to Zagrebacka avenue.
