The project brief asked for a basement extension of a multi-brand designer clothes shop in Zagreb.

The basement space of 120 sqm had a very small height of only 2.3m. How could this unpleasant space with no daylight become a desirable place for luxurious shoppers?

The height was enlarged by digging into the soil for 50cm and space was visually enlarged by employing two strategic decisions: to make a ceiling in two layers and to add a room-size mirror at the end of the space that re ected the ceiling and enlarged the interior space.
